In this article, we will discuss the standout features of the phone, including its stunning display, powerful performance thanks to its advanced processor, and professional camera system. Additionally, we will highlight the battery features and fast charging capabilities that set this device apart from others.

In a short period after the release of the Magic 6, Honor quickly returns to unveil the next generation of its flagship Magic series, the Magic 7 and Magic 7 Pro. Within less than a year, Honor introduced the new family with impressive upgrades, but are they enough to compete with the current giants of flagship smartphones?

Honor Magic 7 Pro Key Features Performance and Design Revealed

The Honor Magic 7 Pro features a design language dominated by curves on all sides, a trend followed by most smartphone companies, particularly Chinese brands, aiming to provide comfort for users when holding the device for extended periods while also offering a modern and elegant look.

At the back, the device sports a shiny glass finish with a circular camera module in the center, similar to the previous generation. The difference is that the module comes in dark black, contrasting with the original back color. It houses four rings arranged in a square format, containing three lenses and a laser sensor.

  • At the front, Honor continues its curved design language, but with a very subtle curvature around the screen edges, a design known as Micro Quad-Curved.
  • There’s a strip resembling Dynamic Island on the iPhone but significantly smaller.
  • It contains the front cameras and the facial recognition sensor for unlocking the screen.
  • Honor offers users the flexibility to choose between the Face ID sensor or a fast ultrasonic fingerprint sensor embedded in the display. Both options work seamlessly, even at night.

The power button and volume buttons are positioned on the right side. The bottom features a USB-C port, a speaker, and a dual SIM slot. At the top, there’s a secondary speaker for stereo sound and an IR sensor for controlling smart devices directly from your phone.

The phone is designed to be water and dust-resistant, with an IP69 rating. The device measures 8.8 mm thick and weighs 223 grams. While slightly heavy, it aligns with the standards of current flagship smartphones.

  • Honor has adopted the same display as the Magic 6 Pro, featuring a 6.8-inch OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a variable refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz, thanks to LTPO technology.
  • The screen can display one billion colors with accurate color gradation, delivering exceptional clarity and brightness even under direct sunlight.
  • The screen's maximum brightness reaches 1600 nits in normal modes and up to an impressive 5000 nits with HDR content. This feature remains unchanged from the previous generation, with the only difference being the addition of a new scratch-resistant protection layer.
  • The phone comes out of the box with Android 15, the latest operating system, alongside Honor’s new MagicOS 9 interface.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the world’s most powerful processor, the Snapdragon 8 Elite, featuring eight cores built on a 3nm architecture with a maximum clock speed of 4.32 GHz. Paired with it is the Adreno 830 GPU, delivering exceptional performance for demanding tasks and efficiency in gaming.

The chipset also includes a powerful Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for fast AI task handling, providing practical features for users such as improved digital assistant performance and advanced camera processing.

The device will offer two RAM variants:
  1. 12GB RAM with 256GB storage.
  2. 16GB of RAM paired with storage choices of 512GB or 1TB.

The most significant upgrade at the back is the telephoto lens, which now boasts a 200MP resolution with an f/2.6 aperture, a 1/1.4-inch sensor size, and a 60mm focal length. It supports 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom, offering unparalleled detail and clarity.

The main camera remains 50 MP with a variable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/2.0 and a focal length of 23mm. The ultra-wide camera is also 50 MP with an f/2.0 aperture, capable of capturing at a 122-degree angle and focusing on very close objects for high-quality macro shots.

The main camera enables 4K video recording at 30 or 60 frames per second. On the front, there’s a 50 MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture, integrated with a 3D sensor for facial recognition and professional portrait photography.

  • Honor has increased the battery capacity to 5,850 mAh with 100W fast charging, significantly faster than the previous generation, along with 80W wireless charging.
  • The Honor Magic 7 Pro was first launched in China and is available in black, sky blue, white, and gray colors.

The Honor Magic 7 shares the same attractive design and powerful display but in a smaller size of 6.78 inches. It features the same software and hardware but differs in the rear, where it has three cameras, including a 50 MP main sensor with a fixed f/1.9 aperture.

The front includes a 50 MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture, while the battery has a capacity of 5,650 mAh, supporting 100W fast charging and 80W wireless charging.
